Can I shut down my O2 mobile phone contract for a limited period? 



Yes, under certain conditions it is possible to suspend an O2 mobile phone contract.



The contract will continue after the end of the contract and will be extended by the period of the decommissioning. If the contract is terminated by an appointment within the cancellation of the contract, the contract termination is thus ineffective by the order to terminate the contract.



During the termination of the contract no changes to the contract are possible. The connection will be blocked during the contract cancellation. The contract cancellation costs a one-time fee, basic charges are not calculated during the period of decommissioning. If another contract is closed, this is free.

What conditions must be met for a contract cancellation? 



A contract cancellation has the following conditions:

The contract has a minimum term of 24 months and has existed for at least 6 months.

The duration of the decommissioning is at least 2 to a maximum of 12 months within the minimum contract period.

There is a valid German bank account and we have received a direct debit authorization for you.

All bills are paid.

The decommissioning must be requested no later than 2 weeks before the desired start.

A contract can only be applied for the future, but not retroactively.



We also require official proof of the temporary absence of the contract holder or user abroad or for rehabilitation or hospitalization during the entire period of the contract cancellation (eg study certificate, rental agreement, march order or certificate).
