my contact ends on 1.2.2018,so i went in july to a o2 shop to ask about how and when i am supposed to cancel my contract,and he clearly told me after november because then it will be when i am in my last 3 months of contract.So today i went to a shop and asked for cancelation 2.11.2017 and what i heard is that i cannot cancel and that my contract automatically renewed for 1 year,is this right?like why am i supposed to pay for one more year?I got my contract for the phone i got not because of contract, i don't need it.I want to know what can i do to cancel my contract,please help me otherwise i'll just stop paying.Thank you very much.

I'm sorry to say this, but it is correct that your contract got extended for one more year.



Cancellations have to reach the company 3 months before the runtime end of the contract. After that your contract gets extended for 12 more months.



Actually you can cancel whenever you want to. Even when the contract is just one day old, you can already send in your cancellation to the runtime end, so that you do not forget to cancel the contract in the end.



The only option for you is to go into the shop and talk with them, and talk about a complaint. But let me tell you that I think that this probably won't lead to anything.
