Unwanted changes in the contract

What should I do with a change in the contract I did not want and I did not ask for?

Is there a way to go back to the previous one?

Please describe the problem.

There are multiple reasons/solutions: Widerrufsrecht, Abstreiten, Error, misunderstanding of a information letter etc.

Hello Klaus.

I had a DSL contract with O2 since 2014.

On sarurday morning, before 8:30 a lady called me to speak about it.

In German and with a really poor connection - I remember I had to go to the window to understand a little.

I was almost sleeping, I asked her to call me on monday because at the office some colleagues could help me.

But she insisted, speaking quickly and not  listening to me at all.

She told me I had a long contract, so O2 was proposing me a geschenk - she called it.

A reduction of 5 euro on my tariff and a free O2 DSL router.

I told her i was fine with the one I just received on September when I moved.

Again, she did not listen to me and insisted in the geschenk, in the 5 euro rebatt, and went on her way.

I asked her to get a written email about the proposal and I waited for it.

Instead I got a new DSL router - I already asked why and what I have to do with the other - almost new.

And today I received an email that i have a DSL M of 34.98  (- 5 euro for 3 months)

I never asked for both!

Not the change in my cintract

Not a new DSL box.

Is this  the geschenk after 4 years of contract????

Sorry Klaus.

A friend of mine went through all the changes and told me I got really a geschenk since the 59.98 is discounted in total.

Then the DSL -S that I have, I still have it with a reduction of 5 euro too.

In meineo2 i read 24.99 actually.

So what I understood is correct.

It is what I read that confused me.

The information is so hard to be found in the pages.

So all looks fine thanks.

One last question: I do not know what I have to do with the DSL router.

As I do not use two, can I sell the new one?

No! The routers belong to o2. You will need to send the old one back.

You have made a tariff change from DSL S to DSL M .. did you really want that?
If not, you have to revoke the new tariff ... How to do that, is in the cancellation policy, which was included in the e-mail as an attachment.

The routers are rental properties and belong to o2, of course you can not sell them!


Follow the instructions "Widerrufsbelehrung" attached to the mail or here: https://static2.o9.de/blob/10803528/v=13/Binary/widerruf-dsl.pdf  I recommend EINSCHREIBEN via letter.

O2 must restore the old contract conditions.

As I wrote, I did nothing.

It looks like the lady did it right:

a new router I was charged and discounted full 

a reduction from my current DSL-S of 29.99 now 24.99 for 12 months.

Instead, the letter i received this morning plus the online page of meino2 are really misleading, especially for a non-german speaker.

So I thought that she changed the contract.

To be 100% secure, I will go to a O2 shop tonight to check if really all is fine there.
