O2 DSL not working from the Installation date.


Hi o2 team,

I would like to share my bad experience with o2 service.

The INTERNET does NOT come yet.

I live in Bremen and have been using for DSL connection from last month.

Application date - 3 Nov 2018
Installation Date - 26 Nov
Today's date - 15 Dec

There is no internet at my home. I have contacted customer care many times to check the issue. They say my o2 router device is not proper. When I tried with other router as well, it does not work. When I goto o2 store, they say they can not help. I am helpless. I am just loosing time and money without internet.

Hope you understand I am not happy with the service. Can you please help me get the internet fixed and I did not use it until now.

WHICH Fritzbox modell?
Maybe a too old type?!
i Have used 2 diffirent routers to check
  • o2 Home box 6431
  • Fritbox 7390
i think both supports VDSL

Don´t buy rubbish and ask afterwards. A 7390 is not the best Fritzbox modell. Are you sure, that the box works properly? Is the current firmware installed? Cable ok?

For this modell you must go in the Fritzbox on "Störsicherheit" and move all settings to medium.
"Störsicherheit" will not be displayed until you switch the view to "Erweitert".

I tried the above steps. It’s still having the same issues. Also I checked at o2 store before using these Routers.
This router was working properly earlier.
I have also tried with other DSL cables.It does not work

Are you sure, that the right firmware is on the box?

To ensure default settings, you should carry out a full reset of the box:
System/Sicherung/Werkseinstellungen - klick "Werkseinstellungen laden"

If no success - call "Störhotline" via mobile phone and point out "no sync"

can you please suggest if you know where I can get the firmware for O2 6431
You can not download the firmware yourself, that can only o2. The o2Boxes are bound to the (V) DSL connection and must return to o2 after the end of the contract. They are only rented.
Did you buy the o2Box second hand?🤦🏻
In my opinion, the 6431 is probably outdated.
If you have the 6431 connected, the DSL LED flashes quickly and then lights up?
Correct - you can´t update a Homebox yourself.

Hello,
as far as I can see you were already in touch with us and a trouble ticket has been opened for you. According to this you should have recieved a SMS by now which states that an apointment for a technician is necessary. I recommend to call the technical DSL service to make this apointment.
