Can't upload bank information ( i am from the US)

Hello,

I have recently purchased a prepaid SIM card with 3.5GB of LTE data on it, and it has now expired. I am trying to upload my credit card information so I can replenish my balance and hopefully buy another pack of data, but I do not have a BIC or BLZ as my bank is based in the US. My package of data has expired yesterday, and I still cannot figure out how to enter in my information when it asks for things I don’t have. Additionally, although I am current residing in Germany, I cannot download the Mein O2 app because “the app is not available in my country”.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to fix this and purchase another package. I would prefer to just type in my credit card information rather than deal with this BIC/BLZ/account number crap.

@Avarice You can buy a top up voucher at supermarkets like Lidl or Aldi.

What phone you use? iOS or Android?

Direct debit is only possible from an EU bank account and topping up via credit card is not currently an option.

Country restricted apps are restricted based on the country the app store is registered in, not where you live.

Like at the same store I got it from? I got it along with the sim card at a Rossman, so do I just buy one of those cards without the sim, yea?

Hi @Avarice,

You have different options for topping up your prepaid credit.

The credit voucher is available in the value of €15, €20 or €30 in grocery stores, drugstores, gas stations or O2 stores near you. On the receipt is a 16-digit code that you need to top up your prepaid credit.

And this is how it works:

    Call the voice menu for free at 5667.
    Dial 1 for "Top up account".
    Enter the 16-digit recharge code, confirm it with # and wait for the announcement of your credit.

You can also easily top up your credit using the keypad of your O2 prepaid cell phone:

    Enter *103* on your cell phone keypad, plus the 16-digit recharge code of your credit voucher and the # key.
    Then press the green button or send on your cell phone
    Wait for the booking confirmation via SMS

After correct entry, your prepaid credit account will be charged with the value of the selected O2 prepaid credit voucher.
