I purchased an o2 sim with a device on a 2 year contract which ended in october 2018. Since now my device is fully paid, i wanted to discontinue/cancel my sim because i cannot afford the monthly amount I pay. I went to the O2 store and they asked me to send a letter to o2 and because i did not cancel 3 months before the contract end-line i would have to pay for another year i.e till October 2019. If I send in the letter this month would it be possible to cancel the sim sooner? And even if not, would the cancellation till October 2019 be guaranteed?
