Unable to Re-login to Mein O2 App: Prepaid

Hello O2 Team,
I’ve been using the Mein O2 Android app to manage my prepaid plan happily for over 2 years. This week, I was unexpectedly logged out. Not being confident in my password after not logging in for so long, I must have typed it wrong a few times, so I then reset it using my phone number and received confirmation via SMS that the password was successfully changed.

However, when I try to log in using my phone number and new password, I get the error:
“Login failed. Account may be blocked due to multiple unsuccessful logins.”

I believe my account might be now blocked. Could you please help me unblock it or send a temporary password via SMS? I tried calling O2’s normal English hotline, but they informed me that Prepaid support is only offered in German.

I’m happy to share my phone number and associated email privately to help in verification.

welcome to our o2 community 🙂

That is not so nice that you cannot access your Mein o2 login anymore.

As you are registered here in our community with a prospect login not connected to your Mein o2 login, we cannot directly work with you login and for data security cannot verify your contract via private messages.

 Have you tried a login via a webbrowser, having deleted cache/cookies beforehand and deactivate pop-up blockers if present and removed ‘my o2’ from favourites/bookmarks if saved? Then try to proceed to Login.

Thank you for your attention to my issue. 

Is there a solution to get direct support here when I cannot login to my Prepaid account? I registered with the prospect login as it was the only alternative I could see to posting my issue here. But if there is a way to use my O2 phone number somehow to verify I would be able to.

I have just tried your suggestion: deleting cache/cookies, deactivating popups and I do not have O2 bookmarked. Upon attempting to login, I was given the same error that login failed and account may be blocked if too many unsuccessful login.

unfortunately we don’t have any access to prepaid customer data right here. 

If you use the webversion, do you log out of the community before trying once again to get into your account?

If you are blocked because of to many failed attemps the account is automatically unlocked after 24 hours.
