Sim and Phone Contract Cancellation due to leaving Germany

Hello good day y‘all.

I had my sim and iphone 13 pro max contract in an O2 shop last year, February 2022 and would like to ask what’s the process to do a cancellation contract? I am leaving Germany anytime soon and my contract will end next year February 2023. my questions are; Do I need to pay all the balance for the phone and data for the remaining year balance? Can I pay the phone in full so I can keep it but not the data? Or can I surrender my phone and not pay the balance? Would appreciate your reply.

Welcome to the community. 
If you want to cancel your contract early because you are going abroad, you can do this via the following link. Send the completed form back to the address provided. For the cancellation to be accepted, we need the following documents from you:
- the deregistration certificate of your previous place of residence
- the registration certificate of your new place of residence abroad
alternatively to the registration certificate, a confirmation from your employer or landlord
(e.g. employment contract, rental agreement)

Thank you for the reply. What if I don’t have a rental agreement because it’s our own family house? And for work contract, I am still searching but it’s gonna take some time. What happens to the phone? And how much should I be paying?

You can cancel the contract Only. when you sent all the relevant documents, the contract ends 1 month later.

but not the myHandy iPhone 13. 

Ich bin selbst nur Kundin und keine Mitarbeiterin von/bei o2! Wenig bis gar keine Infos regen lediglich zu Spekulationen statt zur Hilfestellung an ??‍♀️

I wanted to check in with you.
Did you manage to cancel your contract and did the Link sent by o2_Maria help?
It is also possible to cancel if you can meet one of this requirements:
- the deregistration certificate of your previous place of residence
- the registration certificate of your new place of residence abroad
