@mhabeast

the IMEI will not be blocked, nor will the cell phone be blacklisted. The only thing that will happen is that the My Handy contract will be terminated and the amount must be paid in one lump sum. If the amount is not paid, the case will be forwarded to a debt collection agency.

@bs0

Er möchte glaube ich wissen, ob das iPhone gesperrt wird und nicht mehr nutzbar ist, wenn die Raten nicht mehr gezahlt werden.

In Germany IMEI blocking will not be just from provider.

Typically, a debt collection agency will first collect the money. If that fails, an attempt will be made to obtain an enforceable title through the courts. Finally, there's the possibility of entries being made in, for example, the Schufa credit reporting agency.

With luck he will get no credit or a new mobile contract.

@mhabeast Correct. o2 will not block the IMEI. They will first cancel the credit agreement and request immediate payment in full. If payment is not forthcoming, they will simply pass the debt to a debt collection agency, which may ultimately take the case to court. The payment default will most likely lead to a negative Schufa entry and problems obtaining credit in the future.

@bs0 @schluej yeah that what im asking about , i have told the same thing to my friend , that your imei will be safe for entire life , but you may face many consequences in further life which will be on your head for your unpaid debt…

which may lead you the the negative schufa and negative credit for future you will never get any contract neither any sim on contract

thanks in advance for all your precious reply

@o2_Daniela just a few thing i want to ask is that

do o2 have enough authority to block/blacklist the imei for unpaid phone contract bill ? like contract of phone

@mhabeast

no, there is no option like this. I just wonder if you signed the contract in your name and gave the phone to your friend hoping he/she will pay just in time?

You are quite engaged in this question so it seems you are feared of the consequences.

Greetings

Manga
