How to check if mobile internet is consistent

I have 5g router with o2 sim and s25 with o2 sim(same tariff max 2025 on both).

Download speed can go up to 300 Mbps but usually 100Mbps. But now from time to time(can be several times within a minute) internet connection is lost completely.

I have reported several time to https://www.o2online.de/netz/netzstoerun but on the website network converage is always “very good”.

How can i check or proove that there is an issue this network but not with my route/phone?

Is there a tool that i can use to measure network drops?

Hey @kirillst and welcome to our community 🌻It's great that you're asking here.

It's not so great that the mobile internet on your 5G router isn't working properly 😕 What router are you using exactly?

You can check the speeds with a speed test. If you repeat this regularly, you can create your own log to prove that connectivity drops/declines.

I always use Ookla's speed test to check, which you can easily find on Google. There are many others that can display even more data than ping, upload, and download speeds. It's best to look around yourself and use the one that suits you best.

I can also recommend the NetMonster app. It displays specific information about nearby cell towers, which can help narrow down the source of the interference.

If you like, you can also post a side street here (for privacy reasons, please do not post your actual address), and we can take a look at it.

Kind regards, Rebecca

@kirillst

please take a look at the screenshot o2_Gerrit posted. If you to to Livecheck search for the button Störung melden.

This is the right way to report a problem.

Greetings

On https://www.o2online.de/netz/netzstoerung/ it says that everything works without any issue.

I tried to change MTU size in router settings but it still doesn’t solve the problem.

Is there a recommeneded router for O2 network and where can i find settings for the router?

Hello @kirillst ,

If no fault is listed there, did you submit a fault report using the “Jetzt melden” button?
Then the technical support team can look into the fault.

Best regards,
Maria
