Cancelling third-party services on your mobile phone

1. What are third-party services?

These are extra services charged through your invoice but provided by other companies or your mobile provider. Examples include ringtones, games, chat services, prize draws, or streaming subscriptions.

2. Why can they be a problem?

Many people sign up without realizing it (e.g., by tapping on ads or pop-ups). The costs often only show up later on your phone bill. Cancelling can be tricky, since the contract is with the third-party provider, not your mobile company.

3. How to cancel

Contact the third-party provider directly (details are usually on your bill or in a text message). 

Ask our customer service for help. They must give you the provider’s contact details and support you with the cancellation. 

If you subscribed a service of O₂

First of all, you should cancel the subscription within 14 days notice. Just send a short note to the following e-mail address:

You should always cancel in writing (email or letter) and ask for a confirmation.

4. Block future charges

You can request a third-party block from your mobile provider. This means no other companies can add charges to your bill in the future. The block is free of charge and you can remove it anytime if needed.​​​​
