o2 DSL fixed-term contracts are automatically extended by 12 months unless they have been terminated with a notice period of 3 months to the end of the contract term. Time-limited discounts expire when the agreed period is reached, no new discounts are granted. The conditions agreed upon conclusion of the contract apply. See o2 order confirmation.

When accessing "Mein o2", ensure that the contract has been correctly registered for “Mein o2” with the associated landline phone number and that this is used for login.

I finally got log into the site and be able to see Mein O2 information all..thanks a lot!

Some more question.

When it is extended 1 year automatically, then how much cost will be supposed for the period.

and I will terminate the contract maybe around 10~11 months later...because I am going back to my home country, South Korea. Then is there any additional charge for the termination in the period time of the contract or it is simply terminated?

Thank you in advance..

When it is extended 1 year automatically, then how much cost will be supposed for the period.

The price for your contract was already agreed at the time of contract conclusion, it does not change. Only the time-limited discounts no longer apply. You can find all this in the order confirmation and on every invoice. The price of your tariff and any discount granted on it are listed separately there. Please read.

The contract can be cancelled at any time to the end of the minimum contract period or to the end of the 12-month extension period, provided that the notice period of 3 months is observed.

If you move abroad before the end of the contract, it is possible to terminate the contract with a notice period of 3 months upon presentation of appropriate proof. The date of the move is decisive. In this case, you would still have to pay the costs of the contract for 3 months after your move. See also:

Super! Thanks a lot.

Hello

Good to see you and remind me.

I have 2 more questions

  1. what is “the minimum contract period”
  1. for my case, next month my 2 year contract will be finished and automatically extended 1 year. after that I will go back to my home country around 11 months later…so 3 months before I leave I will inform  the cancellation request. but I am not clear meaning of  “you would still have to pay the costs of the contract for 3 months after your move”

Thank you in advance..

but I am not clear meaning of  “you would still have to pay the costs of the contract for 3 months after your move”

In the case that you do not want to fulfil the contract concluded with o2 as contractually agreed because you move abroad before the expiry of the agreed contract term, the German legislator has issued the following regulation (§46 Telekommunikationsgesetz):

Wird die Leistung am neuen Wohnsitz nicht angeboten, ist der Verbraucher zur Kündigung des Vertrages unter Einhaltung einer Kündigungsfrist von drei Monaten zum Ende eines Kalendermonats berechtigt.

The decisive factor for the start of these 3 months is the date of the move according to the “Abmeldebescheinigung”.

Then is there any additional charge for the termination in the period time of the contract

So you pay for 3 months AFTER your move as compensation for the early termination of the contract (if your regular contract end date is later than your move date). In no case will you pay longer than until the agreed end of the contract.

It all depends on when exactly you move in relation to the end of your contract.

Example 1:
End of contract 31.12.2021, move 01.11.2021 -> Regular termination with a notice period of 3 months to 31.12.21, billing of the contract until 31.12.21
Example 2:
End of contract 31.12.2021, move 31.07.2021. Extraordinary termination with submission of deregistration certificate and registration certificate. Billing of the contract until 31.10.2021

In example 2, the payment for 2 months of the contract (November and December) is therefore waived due to the submission of the registration certificates on the basis of the statutory regulation.
