Sending MAC address

Hello there. I received letter from o2 asking to send MAC adresse because i am using my own router. Can anyone guide me how and where to find link to send it. Thanks

can you use your router with the cable connection? That would be a quick confirmation that the MAC address has been correctly set for your contract.

No,  unfortunately i am still waiting to be connected and activated. And it will be on 29th Juni, hopefully because i am waiting more than 4 months

@Drpop79 What exact model router you have? Complete new one or used one. If a used one, on which provider last time used?

It is fritzbox cable 6490, used one but i am not sure on which provider

I did not see an order that had progressed far along enough to require a MAC-Address when I checked your data. I also would like to note that the 6490 does not use DOCSIS 3.1 and as such may not work with the connection at all.

Hello Sven,

I suppose that you are working for O2. Why then nobody told me that before. I am trying to get Internet for home almost 4 months and in O2 shop they are never guide me or told me anything about router. They just ask if i have cable router than i don't need new one. I really need to find some legal advice/support how to cancel everything if i do not receive home Internet after 29.06. 

Use a Router that’s using DOCSIS 3.1 this router will work.

Old router will not get access.

Or rent a router from O2.

In the shops are working only guys the earn money is the sell some thing… 

If you don’t what to use the o2 router, that’s ok!, than you have to find out what is the right router.

And why is the 6490 so cheap??  

U could use FRITZ!Box 659x and 66x0 router.

The WLAN of the. 6660 is not the best.

when you make a contract in a shop, withdrawing from the contract gets a bit more difficult as you have to ask directly in the shop where you went to for this.

The need for DOCSIS 3.1 as a technical specification isn’t as well known as things are when it comes to “normal” internet via landline, which is probably also why you haven’t been informed about this directly. I can understand your frustration about this, however if you use your own router, then the device and its useability falls under your responsibility. schluej hast already suggested a few alternatives if you wanted to continue using your own device, and as stated before you can of course also rent a FritzBox 6660 from us.

I am not sure what is going on. Is it normal that tehnician didn't showed up. Firstly I got 15.06 termin and then they send me letter from o2 telling me that they are postponed to 29.06 and today nobody showed up. I am disappointed and pissed at the same time. The guys from Lampertheim shop don't want to speak on English. They are not providing clear information and one of them actually spoke with me on English first time and after he said to me that he doesn't speak English.  Please can someone help me and guide me what to do. THANKS 

 

If you have the right router… Than connect the FRITZ!Box and start the setup wizard.

I currently see three orders for a my Home contract in your data. One of which was cancelled, one that is still waiting for a confirmation from your side to be booked at all and a third that was declined for internal reasons, for the last one you should have also received a letter to inform you about this. Please check your emails again concerning the offer that needs your input, else there is no order left that would lead to a internet connection.

Today i contacted hotline and lady told me that my previous contract is cancelled and they send me new on which i confirmed already. So now when i click oo it in O2 app i got link to enter MAC address but this link is not working

the order that was waiting for confirmation and is now in progress is for a my Home XXL. If entering the MAC-Address isn’t working online, then you can also have it entered into the system by us or anyone else from customersupport. If you’d like us to do this, let us know, but please don’t openly post the MAC here in the community, we’d have that communication via private message.

Hello there, i received message that my Internet connection is activated but still i do not have internet. I am using my router and o2 asked for MAC address. I sent to them and they put it in the system. Can someone please help me and guide me what to do. Thanks 😩
