Router and installation (technicianor on my own?)

Hello :)

Yesterday I received the router, today they sent me an email saying that on the 7th I have to install it. But last week they told me that on the 7th a technician would go to install it, does that mean they have changed their mind and the technician will no longer come? before day 7 I can't install it then right? even if it's on my own.

Thank you.

Alicia.

I think you have misunderstood something.
The connection and configuration of the router are always the responsibility of the customer. No one will take care of your router.
Insofar as a technician visit was announced to you, it refers exclusively to the provision of the DSL line. The technician is not commissioned to carry out any further work and will not do so.

Hello @Alicia707,

you already recieved some helpful tipps. Were all your questions answered? Or is there still something open where we should have a look into? :-)

Regards,

Lars

Hi, I'm Alicia Gómez Cuevas and my internet is not working. Today they came to install it but it won't. Just when I was going to call they sent me a message saying that they will come tomorrow between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

I don't understand why they sent it to me if they still couldn't know that the internet was not going. Because as far as I know they can install it in one day, it seems very strange to me that they need two.

But the thing is, I need to know the exact time (not “between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.”)  because my boyfriend (who is the one who lives in germany) and he can't be home all day without going to work. Is there an email to contact them?

I don't know why but it gave me the feeling that the internet was not going to go today and I was not wrong. I am afraid that the internet will always go bad and that I will have to go to another company…

Edit o2_Lars: Moved to existing thread

My boyfriend managed to easily install the router and yesterday he was the technician for the internet, but it has not worked at any time. Today they will come again when we have not told them yet that it was not working, so I do not understand yesterday what the technician did, that is, if he has to come two days in a row, he does not know what he is doing. Hope I fix it today. My doubt is that they never say in the message an exact time of the appointment, they simply say that the technician will go from 8 to 17, but people have to work, I cannot be at home all day waiting for him to appear without know when. I have called +491793000333, to be able to call from Spain and ask, but nobody answers :(

Hello @Alicia707,

the phone number you are referring to is the generic mailbox number of your o2 phone.

If the technician for the activation has to come back a second time it seems like there are or were some issues with the connection that could not be fixed within time on the first apointment.

I am sorry for any inconvenience but I am sure your connection will be working soon :-)

Regards,

Lars

Thank you all very much :)

In the end the internet worked the next day and has not returned to give problems. The technician fixed it from headquarters without having to have another appointment with him.
