new DSL connection internet setup problem


Hi,

I had a technician appointment yesterday for new O2 connection with o2homebox6741. As the technician did not set up the router I tried doing personally. And in the o2.box setup the option is only German I therefore request you to make it english so that others people can use freely. So while doing setup it ask for password I put some password and it was not correct so i put again and while going to next, it started giving same page to enter old password

new password and

confirm password.

 

Now i just created account and had enter new password which old password should i give i do not know for that I went back and from that time the page vanish and I am not getting the page of setup where we need to enter the VOP PIN.

whenever I am going to o2.box in browser it is taking me to this page and it showing internet deaktive.

Kindly let me know how do i setup now. or how do I activate my internet. I am using my smartphone.

do you rent the homebox directly from O2??

Do a factory default reset. Press the reset button longer then 15 sec.

If you like a English interface buy a fritzbox 75x0 from avm.

This not possible. The user interface only supports German. “Others people” who are not able to speak the local language are free to use translation tools or translation services by themselves or to choose a router that supports the language desired by them.

When the o2 Homebox 6741 is delivered, no password is set for the user interface. This password is selected by the user during the initial setup. If necessary, the factory state can be restored by pressing the recessed reset button for 10 seconds. See manual. 
If it is necessary to enter the 10-digit PIN at the DSL connection concerned, the 10-digit PIN can alternatively be entered via a connected landline telephone. See manual.

Thanks I figure out and able to connect the internet to my smartphone wifi.

However I would like to know if my router password protected meaning how do I know it is not freely available to others.

Hello @SManisha and thank you fpor your feedback :-)

I am glad to hear that the access to the internet works as it should. The pasword for the web interface of the router is selected by you and as long as you donÄt share it with anybody will not be known. The wifi password is randomly generated and is also not known to the public. If you want, you can always change the password to one that you like. :-)
