I you have a 2 year contract you have to cancel the contract. Three month before you reach the end of the 2 years. If not the contract will expand for another year. If you move with in Germany you will not be able to end the contract earlier!

You have to send the notice of termination to

Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG
Kundenbetreuung
90345 Nürnberg

Hello @TPORPACZY,

wellcome to our o2 Community!

We have summarized all information on moving abroad in our FAQ section. For a cancellation of your DSL contract it is neccessary to send in some documents for proof, i.e. a copy of your deregistration from the Einwohnermeldeamt here in Germany. If this is missing, the contract is  cancelled only by the end of the contract duration which is normally two years.

Have you sent in all the neccessary documents? Then your contract will be cancelled by the next possible date. If you have any further questions please let us know.

Kind regards,

Giulia

Dear Giulia,

What is the name of the paper is missing from me,please?

Thank You.

Greetings

it is NOT double posting it is a new question.what is the name of the document is missing please????

btw u can have 5 min for a costumer in 2 years!

Hi @TPORPACZY

what is the name of the document is missing please????

The document we need for a cancellation is the so called “Abmeldebescheinigung Einwohnermeldeamt”

This is an officiell paper, that proves that you are no langer a resident of germany and that you have left the country permanently.

Best Regards Matze

well I do not have that, but my 2 year contract is finishing anyway,so I would like to finish it.what do I need for it in this case?

Hello @TPORPACZY,

if you left the country and already sent a cancelation note the contract is already marked for cancelation to the end of the normal contract period of 24 months. So even if you do not provide the necessary documents that you left germany and live abroad now the contract will be terminated to the “normal” end of its contract duratoin.

Lars

Which documents did you send to o2 exactly?

abmeldung,and the wi-fi router 12 month ago!!!!

Benutzerebene 7

Hello @TPORPACZY,

just sending back the router does not result in a deactivation of the contract. As long as essential documents are missing a deactivation prior to the planned end of the contract. As far as I can se in February of this year the Abmeldebestätigung was still missing so the contract kept on running.

Do you remember when you srated your contract? Maybe it has been ended to the normal end of its term already?

Regards,

Lars

Hi @TPORPACZY

do you still have any questions concerning the deactivation of your DSL-contract?

Then please mention here your requests.

Thanks a lot.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hello Thobias,

I STILL DO.PLEASE HELP!!!!

-I sent Abmeldung, several cancellation letters, went O2,they told me all deleted,I. have sent back roter more than a year ago, too.it was confirmed.

It is driving me crasy that O 2 is still charging me.

Can you pl check what else do I need to do?

what else is missing for the cancellation from my specific file and what to do?

I do not want to pay any more and it s become the worst costumer experience I have ever imagined.

It is never to late from o2 to help me.

Thank

if I did not cancel the contract properly, which I did please write the exact steps how to do so and what papers to fill.thanks

I am not able to see the bills online since day one.can you help me please?

Hi @TPORPACZY

we have checked  your concern. Right now the contract is properly cancelled to May 21st 2021 as requested in your letter you send last year. So there is nothing left to do for you. We also received the deregistration certificate. But it arrived as the contract was already finished and so it was no longer needed.

So by now it looks everything is fine.

Greetings

Hi,

I had ordered the o2 DSL contract in Nov 2018. The minimum contract period as mentioned in my contract is 24 months. Recently I moved out of Germany (in July 2021). I have already sent a cancellation request to one of the specified O2 offices (Nuerenberg). Now in my online account they say that the contract will be terminated in Nov 2021.

I understand that if I have completed the minimum contract period then I can cancel the contract with a notice of 1 month if the reason for cancellation is “moving out of Germany”.

Can someone help me here? How can I contact O2 on this matter as I have already moved out of Germany? They don’t even have email contact for customer support.

If I have to send the deregistration document where (email contact) I can send it online?

This is really annoying and customer unfriendly.

I understand that if I have completed the minimum contract period then I can cancel the contract with a notice of 1 month if the reason for cancellation is “moving out of Germany”.

Your understanding is not accurate. The procedure according to the regulation by the German legislator is explained in detail here and, of course, also applies to you:

The German legislator has set the notice period for such a case at 3 months to the end of a calendar month, calculated from the date of the move according to the registration certificate. See §46 TKG.

As a sign of special customer friendliness, o2 offers its customers the choice: 24-month contract with annual renewal and 3 months' notice to the end of the contract or, alternatively, no minimum contract period and only 4 weeks' notice to the end of a calendar month ("Flex" contract). But you didn't want the customer-friendly "Flex" contract. It's really annoying that you didn't make the choice that seems to meet your expectations.

Thanks for your answer. Could you please tell me what I can do to avoid paying additional rent when I'm not using it for next three months? Is there a possibility to reduce the notice to 4 weeks? I would like to contact per email basis.

The three months cannot be reduced, even if you send in the deregistration document, so if you have already  terminated the contract to November and this has been confirmed then there is nothing more for you to do.

@TPORPACZY

I just checked your account and found out someone credited the final amount out of goodwill. As you paid the last invoice you have a benefit. Can we payback this money to your German bank account or does it not longer exist?

Greetings

Hey,Yes please pay me back my money.where should I send You my bank details?

And after kindly explain why did I get AGAIN a 40 EUR bill for internet, after I

-have sent back the router to u 15 month ago and you confirmed-after I have sent Abmeldung and after you promised me on the phone and in the shop that I do not have to pay any more?I do not even live in the country.

I can not wait to you answer.

My guest experience with O2 is the worst costumer experience EVER.

Thank You
