Draytek 130 nicht funktoniert

My line was finally activated on Thursday, but I am still not connected to the internet. I have a Draytek 130 and I cannot access its interface to connect it to my Asus router. I input the username and password provided by o2 directly on the Asus, but there is still no internet connectivity. I just hope I have the correct cables, I bought the Draytek used and I had to find a TAE cable with RJ11. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@Draytek did you have (V)DSL sync? What tariff you have? Your dsl username end with ..@s92.bbi-o2.de or ..@s93.bbi-o2.de?

edited: what firmware you have on the daytrek 130?

I have the 100mbit, my username is s93

Moin Moin,

you have to enter the login parameter into your daytek.

Little help you could find her.

The VLAN ID could be enter in the router.

If you really have a RJ11 you could use this one. If you have really a RJ11 connector than you have the Annex A version.

For help take a look her

For Firmware Update look her should be  3.8.4.1

The combination is not the easiest combination if you do not know much about router, XDSL modem and the necessary parameters for German DSL access ...

What really baffles me is not being able to access the modem’s interface. I only have an old laptop and I have tried connecting it with the RJ45 cable provider by Asus. Its clips seem quite long compared to some standard yellowish Ethernet cables. It clicks on my laptop l, but is it possible that it doesn’t fit with the modem? I also bought a TAE cable with RJ11 and that looks like it fits properly with my plug and Draytek 130.

I have the Annex B version, but even If I got the wrong cable, should not I be able to access the modems interface?

@Draytek you can’t reach the daytrek over http://192.168.1.1 ?? Did you make a factory reset?

Yeah I did, twice.

@Draytek after you reach the daytrek interface, read carefully (use google translate) this article for use a daytrek 130 as a Vdsl modem.

I got this cable:

@Draytek can you ping the daytrek?

Either there is something wrong with the modem or the Ethernet cable I have us not compatible. That will teach me but used modems without cables in a country I am not familiar with their specific interface.

The vigor schloud have 192.168.1.1  as IP. User admin Password admin.

So you pc schloud have 192.168.1.2 as IP.

I tried 127.0.0.1 but it didn’t seem to work

I have the Asus ax58u

I tried to set it up in AP mode but that didn’t work. I have done that in the past but with modem/router as the backend device, I am not sure  which mode I should choose for connecting the Asus to the Draytek.

This cabel [ https://www.amazon.de/ecabo-10061-Stecker-RJ45-Stecker-Anschlusskabel-Schwarz/dp/B071CJBJTV ] is a phone cabel not a DSL Cabel.

½ of the TAE should be 3 /4 on modem. If you have luck you can open the TAE plug.

With more luck you could change the position of ¾ to ½. Carefully pull the contact up to the crimp side than move out side than down. The contact has the from of J, the upper part of the J is the crimp side.

@Draytek one question before we try to enter the router menu. Did you have a DSL sync or the DSL led flash? It’s about the cable.

I tried 127.0.0.1 but it didn’t seem to work

127.0.0.1 is your own PC! That’s a loopback address….

Wrong dsl cable…. It is a phone cable.

The DSL light is blinking

Could someone direct me to the proper TAE cable? Ideally with next day Prime delivery. It is still weird that I cannot access the modem interface, maybe I need to order a new Ethernet cable too.

I know, I tried 192.168.1.1 but then I tried to ping it with the loop back address (which is probably pointless)

I’m only used to work with Ethernet cables. The TAE i bought fit the telephone line plug, I assume that is where I get internet from too? I have another socket that says data and uses coaxial inputs, but that is for cable I assume which I was told by Vodafone is not available in my building.

@Draytek TAE to RJ45 and RJ11 to RJ45.  But I strongly recommend to find out, why you can’t reach the daytrek router menu.

Why do I need an adapter?

would something like this work?

https://www.amazon.de/ecabo-10061-Stecker-RJ45-Stecker-Anschlusskabel-Schwarz/dp/B01NBIRER7

I think the TAE end of this is not matching the plug anyway, I ordered the TAE for Deutche Belegung, but that ends with RJ11 and you said that is a phone cable anyway.

The RJ11 to RJ45 cable you mentioned will take ages to reach me, should I get this instead in conjunction with the adapter?

Also, I think I need to order an Ethernet cable too, I have an RJ45 to RJ45 from Asus, I tried connecting the router to my old Dell laptop with no luck. My laptop should detect the Ethernet connection, so the browser would have connected me if I tried 192.168.2.1, wouldn’t it?
