Cannot return the Fritzbox router

Hi Everyone,

I am planning to end my O2 DSL flexi contract via a cancellation letter through the registered post in a couple of days. Unfortunately, the Fritzbox router that was installed at my home got misplaced during my move out of the country.

If I cannot return the router,

1.what is the procedure to pay for it?

2.Do I have mention in the cancellation letter that I lost the router?

3. How many Euros does O2 charge for a misplaced router?

Many thanks!!

@vemulaka Than did your contract start? Is your German bank account open or closed?

@Joe Doe yes, my German bank account is active.

@vemulaka I don't know when your contract started with o2, but o2 only calculates the current value and not the new value for routers that have not been returned.  You don't have to mention that you cannot send the router back.  If the router is not with o2 14 days after the end of the contract, it will be billed approx. 2-4 weeks later with an extra invoice.

Thanks @Joe Doe!

Hello @vemulaka and welcome to our o2 community :-)

A Flex contract is ideal to use if one plans to move abroad in the foreseable future. Sorry to hear that the Fritzbox was lost :-/

As @Joe Doe alreadxy stated you will be billed the value of the router at the time so the longer the contract was running the lower the amount that is billed will be. :-)

We can not provide the amount in advance, you will find it on one of your following invoices.

Regards,

Lars
