Sim card bought online


I ordered a prepaid sim card online and after a few days I received this email

Sehr geehrter o2 Kunde,

leider war Ihre Identitätsprüfung für die Karte #########, registriert am 18.09.2018, bisher nicht erfolgreich. Bitte versuchen Sie es erneut.
Ohne eine erfolgreich durchgeführte Identitätsprüfung, dürfen wir Ihre SIM-Karte
nicht aktivieren.

Wir bitten um Ihr Verständnis.

Two possible errors:


a) You have given incorrect information when ordering the card. Your Name and your birthday must the same as in your passport. Did you swap your first name and name when ordering the card?

b) Did you try to register by Post-Ident? Then it could be that different information (name, date of birth) was determined.

Call the o2 registration hotline (0800-5522266). The hotline can check your given informations at order again. If necessary, the card can only be reset once and then the registration can be repeated again with a new Post-Ident Form.

Actually, you could also go to an o2 shop and buy a starter pack. The pack costs 10 euros and has 10 euros starting balance. The card will also be registered in the shop.

Hi tobias. I have not received my prepaid card yet and am not able to go through the activation process without the number on the simcard.

Oh, that´s strange that you did not yet receive the ordered sim-card.

It is already more than a month ago.

Did you already check if your address is correct?

Please make sure that your name is also mentioned on your postbox.

Hi Tobias,

I actually changed address since it was a temporary flat from my company for the first month. But the relocation company that manages it forwards our mail to our office. Where can I update the address to the new one because I cannot find the option in the website? And don't want to write it here on the forum.
