Cellphone Return


Hello, My previous contract with o2 was ending so i decided to renew the contract and order a cellphone aswell. I ordered a samsung note 10 with 260 Euro as down payment in the start of November.  I was not satisfied with the phone so I returned it in 3 or 4 days. I recieved a mail saying that my return is accepted. I am not sure but i read on the website that if i return the handy the contract is cancelled aswell but that is not the case. 260 Euros were deducted from my account on the 29-Nov-19. I have already returned the phone why did that happen? How long will it take them to refund my deposit?

Hello there!

 

ìve sent a notice to our finance / hardware department regarding the deduction from your banc account. It seems, that the deactivation of the cellphone contract was delayed by an error, that´s probably the reason for the deduction.

We´ll look into it, but it may take a few days.

 

Regarding your SIM-Contract: The cancellation of the Hardware-Contract does not equal a cancellation of your SIM-Contract.

I´d would be exactly that, if we´d be talking about new contracts and if there was a benefit on the tarif tied to the hardware.

 

In this case, we´d be talking about a “verbundenen Vertrag”, a connected contract.

All the benefits you receive are unbound, untied from the hardware. Since that is the case, the contract will continue (since there are no benefits tied to the hardware and because you renewed the contract).

Thank you for looking into this matter. I have been hopelessly trying to contact the service centers and the hotline but they were not telling me what was going on. I can wait a couple of more days no problem. Again Thank you very much.

The money is now on the way. It may take another week for it to arrive, but the approval process is done.
