Dear all,

I received an email from O2 informing me of a 29,95 EUR charge with links to dsl.o2.de/rechnung.

Our contract was terminated on 31.10.2018 and since then I have no access to see any receipt of charges. The router has been successfully returned already.

I naturally declined the charge via my bank and now I am receiving SMSs to pay at an O2 shop or to "überweisen" that amount.

I visited an O2 shop and they can't help me as I don't show up in the system anymore.

Here are my questions:
  • What is this charge exactly about ?
  • How can I pay this amount ?
Regards
G.S.

Hello freethan,
as far as I can see you have chosen to take the phone number from the DSL contact to your new internet provider. This service is charged with EUR 29,95.
You recieved a letter in October with the new login credentials for the online portal. You can use the same password as before to look into the invoice.
Regards,
Lars
Hi Lars,

I don't remember having received a letter with credentials attached to it, but nevertheless thank you for clarifying the situation for me.

As a longtime ex-O2 user, please make a note that the whole experience was sub-par in terms of convenience and clarity. It would make sense to attach the invoice when notifying me of the imminent charge.

Additionally, a local O2 shop had no way of helping me other than pointing me to the helpdesk telephone number, which most of us non-german speaking users would like to avoid due to long waiting times and difficulties in explaining the situation in details.

Again, I appreciate your help, you can consider this case resolved.

Regards,
G.S.
