cancellation in english after 2 years expired

hi, I can't speak german and I'm required to call within 10 days of my cancellation  notification. I'm closing my bank account soon and want to make sure my last bill is paid and my mobile account closed. Can you help please?

So, you want to cancel your contract. Do you want to cancel your contract to the normal runtime end?

Contract cancellations have to reach the company 3 months before the contract ends. Otherwise the contract gets extended for 12 more months. Your cancellation should have reached the company therefore at the 28th of January 2017. Your contract already got extended.

So, if you want to cancel your contract to the normal runtime end- that would be now the 28th of April 2018. You have to hand in the cancellation until the 28th of January 2018.

But, you said you want to close your bank account.

So, would you like to cancel your contract because of moving abroad?

If yes, when are you leaving Germany? Keep in mind that those processes can take more time! So, leave your bank account open. Or change the options so that you transfer the money by yourself when you get an invoice. But it can become pretty expensive to transfer money from a country abroad.

For an extraordinary dismissal because of moving abroad you have to fill out the following form, and hand in all the documents that are mentioned in that form. Here you find it:
