Apple Watch 3 - LTE

Benutzerebene 6

I bought the AW 3 LTE thinking that o2 would eventually support AW. After nearly a year still no AW LTE support. Then AW 4 was introduced. And again I went with the LTE version thinking o2 would finally support AW. Yes this lack of support bugs the heck out me. Drives me crazy. But what even upsets me much much more is the lack of information. And it's the lack of info that will eventually lead me to leave o2 after 20 some years. o2 is playing with its apple customers and it pisses me off. If they would just come out with an official statement stating we can't or won't support AW or we are working on it and are pretty sure that by a certain date +/- a couple of months we'll have support for AW. And how about adding an opt out for those who renewed their contracts in Hope's of AW support by a certain date? I think it's just bad and deceptive business to keep everyone in the dark in order to keep its customers. Even though o2 networks suck compared to Telekom and Vodafone, they do have great tariffs for super prices which is mostly why I've stayed with them so long. But now that I have the feeling that I'm not being fully supported as an apple user, I will not be renewing my contract this coming August. Just in time for a new contract with a new provider with the newest AW announcement just around the corner.
So o2, I can live without the support. But then just tell me so. Tell your o2 gurus. Tell your o2 shop managers and workers. Make an official statement where Every o2 customer can easily find it. Goodbye o2, unless.......
Hi @Woodyman,

I can understand that you like to get an official statement if and when we support the eSIM-functionality of your Apple Watch 3 LTE.

Unfortunately, at the moment I have no satisfying answer for you.

We plan to increase the devices that support eSIM from o2. At the moment, it is only possible for Samsung Galaxy Watch LTE and for the iPad Pro.

So, I suggest that you still wait a bit longer for further information on that subject.

Loving greetings,
Tobias
Thanks Tobias.
Unfortunately I have no choice but to wait.
Hi @Woodyman,

I have good news for you: The Apple Watch series 3 is now compatible with our o2 eSIM.

In order to use our eSIM you need to get the Update watchOS 5.1.2 or higher.

Is that not great?

You can just switch one of your multicard to an eSIM. Please go to "Mein o2" or to your "Mein o2"-app in order to order the eSIM.

Further information you find also here: www.o2online.de/service/sim-karte/esim/

I hope I could be of help to you.

Loving greetings,
Tobias

Hi @Woodyman,

thanks for your message.

Did you try to activate your eSIM and you got this message?

Just wait these 2-3 hours and we will automatically solve the issue for you.

Thanks a lot.

Loving greetings,
Tobias
